Field Improvements Update: November Progress Report

We're excited to share a major update on our field renovations. The volunteers have been hard at work this month, and the results are already showing. Here's where things stand:

Field 1 - Little League Field:

Work on Field 1 will begin within the next couple of days.

We are attempting to secure another donation of the same sandy soil we received. If we aren’t able to get a donated load, we will purchase a load this month!

Field 2 - Minor League Field:

Field 2 has undergone a huge transformation and is just about finished. It's looking better than it has in years!

Upgrades completed:

• Home plate has been raised 10 inches and the entire field has been leveled.

• The areas along first base, third base, and behind home plate have been pitched and flared out to help shed water with a proper slope.

• Home plate will be set and paint lines added to mark the hydroseed zones.

• The outfield will be broadcast seeded to help thicken and strengthen the grass.

Field 4 - T-Ball Field:

The T-Ball field is finally reaching completion! This field was built last year, but never fully finished, and the work this week will bring it to the level needs to be!

Upgrades completed:

• The area behind home plate has been raised.

• Both first and third base paths along the dugouts have been raised.

• Several holes in the outfield are being filled.

  
  

Next up:

• Dugouts will be finished soon with siding and gates.

• Field will be harley-raked and then seeded!
